1,160. That is about how verses were memorized by our Awana kids this year. This year was a great year for our program. We had many new faces and many returning faces from last year. We had record turnouts, even with having 4 weeks in a row of “snow-days” due to the great Michigan weather. But our leaders remained invested and it truly showed. We ended with a bang with our annual pinewood derby followed by our last week known as “Awards Night”. I am pretty sure we had the highest attendance of parents those two nights that we have seen in a long long time. The kids spent 7 months learning about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Without our volunteers this would never be possible. So I want to personally thank all our volunteers on Wednesday nights that make AWANA happen. We can’t wait until next year! Mark your calendars for September when Awana starts back up!
