Bio

Lead Pastor, Dr. Rob Renberg is more excited about the grand life-giving, world-transforming potential of the Church than ever before in his 33+ years of ministry, having pastored churches in 4 different states and now since 2016 at Anchor Point Bible Church in Norton Shores

Pastor Rob has been married to Amy for 36 years and they have four grown children, and is known as “Baba” (Swahili for Grandpa) to their 7grandchildren. He has been an adjunct professor at Grace Bible College in Grand Rapids since he received his Ph.D. (in Pulpit Communication and Expository Preaching) in 2005 from Trinity Theological Seminary. He has also served the past 20 years on the board of Grace Ministries International, a missionary sending organization and has traveled to Africa 8 different times as well as Central America as a guest preacher and teacher and ministry equipper for National Pastors. Most recently, in 2019, he traveled to Zambia and Malawi to help facilitate and develop the mission and vision of the Grace churches in those countries.

He loves outdoor activities, including golf, hunting, and taking the 5 minute walk over the dunes from their home to Lake Michigan to enjoy the sunrise/sunsets and gorgeous beach. His life verse is “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Phil.1:21). He is a positive, enthusiastic leader whose great joy and passion is to preach the Word of God rightly divided and point people to their identity and completeness in Christ and the victorious Christian life by the grace of God. The Bible comes alive as he preaches with practical and applicable truths for daily living.
